On March 21, the webinar “How to train more cybersecurity experts in Europe?”, was held by the European Comission to discuss the lack of cybersecurity experts in Europe.
This event was intended to raise awareness of the shortage of cybersecurity experts in Europe and future trends. Professor Jason R. C. Nurse, from the University of Kent, UK, presented the main results of his study for the ENISA report – Addressing Skills Shortage and Gap Through Higher Education – and outlined some recommendations to address this gap. There were also speakers from different areas who presented concrete European and national initiatives to address the lack of these skills.
