“ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ETHICS: DEFINITION, MAIN PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS” UNDER DEBATE IN THE NEXT SESSION OF TALKS@[DCC]

On the 25th of February, at 6:00 pm, another TALKS@[dcc] lecture will be held, on the topic “Artificial Intelligence Ethics: definition, main problems and possible solutions”. The lecture will be led by Luca M. Possati (Researcher and Philosopher at the University of Porto), who will elaborate questions and define possible solutions on ethics in Artificial Intelligence, analyzing its main approaches and concrete applications.

Throughout the conversation, the topic of Artificial Intelligence will be discussed, how its application can solve the most complex, dynamic and interconnected challenges with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will also address many of the ethical problems of Artificial Intelligence that have not yet been explored, such as privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency and explainability, moral responsibility and responsible innovation.

With this online event, held by the DCC-FCUP and the research group LIAAD-INESC TEC, the aim is to convey the message that in order to trust Artificial Intelligence, it must be based on transparency, justice, equity and human rights.

Participation is free, but with prior registration here.
