The event “Bot Olympics 2022” was recently awarded the seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030” and aims to make the world of robotics funnier and simpler to the most curious.
The 2022 edition will be the seventh of this event, with 140 participants from schools across the country being expected. This competition has three events taking place simultaneously, dedicated to basic, secondary and higher education. The event takes place in the “hackathon” style for four days, where participants will have to develop ways to achieve the goals of each of the competitions in which they are inserted. The final of the competitions is played in the central square of Alma Shopping, in Coimbra.
The event will also have other attractions for participants such as demonstrations, talks, workshops and challenges, promoting greater contact with the city and the Academia. For the younger ones, on February 19, at Alma Shopping, there will be Bot Kids, which will make robotics known through interactive demonstrations.
Bot Olympics presents itself as an educational event of broad inclusion, ensuring access to new technologies and digital knowledge to a wide age group, thus broadening the horizons of all interested parties.
