Action – Digital Skills Course for Municipal Technicians
Description – This course is aligned with the digital development advocated by the National Initiative for Digital Skills e.2030, Portugal INCoDE.2030. The aim is to increase familiarization and use of the main IT tools, with particular emphasis on the word processor, Excel, Internet and e-mail, fundamental for the efficient and effective management and resolution of numerous professional situations that participants face within the activity they carry out in their respective services.
At the end of the training, trainees will be able to:
– Manage the main features of Microsoft Word;
– Format and Edit Documents;
– Create tables and graphs;
– Manage the main features of Microsoft Excel;
– Build, edit and print spreadsheets;
– Use formulas, functions and graphs in spreadsheets;
– Learn to browse the internet safely;
– Create and manage an email account.
The course has a total length of 63 hours and will cover the following contents:

4. Electronic Mail
a. Webmail creation and configuration: Gmail, Outlook
b. Desktop Email Clients (Outlook): Account Management
c. Management of contacts and schedules
d. Sending messages and replies
This course will be online, adopting a strategy which is very similar to face-to-face training. We will have synchronous/live sessions (trainer and participants are online through a videoconference system), where the trainer will address the training contents and interact with the participants and the latter with the trainer and other colleagues.
An active methodology will be used to encourage the participation of trainees, using the expository and interrogative method, with a strong practical component through the performance of practical exercises.
Between sessions, there may be small activities that each participant will develop autonomously, with the aim of reinforcing their learning.
This course is aimed at technical professionals from the municipalities of Vale do Cávado.
