Description – The digitalization of teaching proves to be a huge challenge for teachers, but at the same time it creates a unique opportunity for the teaching staff to improve their digital skills and contribute to the improvement of the digital literacy of our students. The Action Plan for the Digital Transition, approved in Resolution nº 30/2020 of the Council of Ministers, advocates the construction of a digital society as an opportunity to reinvent the functioning and organization of the Government, orienting it more towards the citizen, to reinforce the economic competitiveness and to develop a climate favorable to innovation and knowledge.
This Training Center, being an association of the School Groups in the municipalities of Alenquer, Arruda dos Vinho and Sobral de Monte Agraço, and having teachers as its main target audience, proposes to carry out fifty training actions on digital teacher training. These training actions are aimed at primary and secondary school teachers and aim to provide them with digital resources for use in the classroom, both in terms of learning and for student assessment.
In these trainings, for the creation of digital content, teachers will work with digital tools Genially; Canvas; Flipgrid; Piktochart; Loom; Visme; Powtoon; Price; Nearpod; Office Suite; Google Suite and Thinglink, for the assessment of learning with Kahoot tools; Mentimeter; Quizlet; Google Forms; Edpuzzle; Quizizz; Poll Everywhere and Pear Deck. In terms of content management, they will work with Google Classroom tools; Symbaloo; Canvas; Moodle; Blackboard; Google Sites; Edmodo and Notion. For the management of educational content Youtube; Google; Google Scholar; Ted; Slideshare; Podcast; Medium and Khan Academy. Finally, with regard to Discord communication; Slack; Teams and Telegram.
At the end of this Action, innovative teachers are expected, with high-level digital skills, who are creative and who provide high-quality learning to their students, with the introduction of digital teaching practices.
