Action – Escape Room – the interview
Description –The Escape Room and the Escape Game are concepts whose target is the unemployed population. It is a training space where a game methodology will be put into practice, an exercise that combines an immersive playful experience with a very strong pedagogical purpose, specifically designed for this context and for this target audience.
Designed for small teams, it consists of experiencing immersive scenarios where the way in which some key behaviors are manifested under pressure or in more adverse contexts, and in a group environment, is explored.
When entering a room, participants are faced with the pressure of time and a goal to achieve, reinforced by a countdown, placing them in an amplified situation of key moments for their inclusion in the job market, such as the interview, the first days of internship, or even work day-to-day, where time is invariably short and the environment is different from the usual, and as a consequence, it does not always allow us to make the best decisions.
It is thus possible, and consequently, in a very short period of time, to amplify the natural behaviors of each person, allowing the identification of personality traits, more and less outstanding skills, the attitude towards pressure or uncertainty in the face of the unknown, and even the commitment to the group.
It is intended to use and develop “escape games” (in “escape rooms”) as immersive scenarios for the classroom, as part of a series of assessment activities, as a successful playful alternative to conventional study sessions, such as projects to teach employability skills. With the creation of this Escape Room, a learning, practical and playful methodology is provided, which can serve as a basis for the practical development of the skills that are the object of work in the various curricular units for these young students.
