ENSICO, with the support of APDC, gathered at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), on March 25, a group of national and international speakers with vast experience in the areas of education and computer science.
This event aimed to discuss the importance of introducing computational thinking in compulsory education in Portugal and included the participation of INCoDe.2030 in the panel “Computer Science for All: Social and Economic Perspectives”.
The debates were divided into three panels: a first, focused on the teaching of computer sciences and teacher training; a second focused on curriculum review and design; and, a last one, focused on the economic and social impact produced by the incorporation of computing education in compulsory education. All of them provided participants with a broad view on how to train the current and next generation of teachers and educators, true pillars and societies and the world’s transforming agents.
