Action – DigCompTest.eu – self-assessment tool
Description – The project consists of the development of the website www.digcomptest.eu, with the aim of gathering information related to Digital Competencies, both for citizens (DigComp 2.1) and for educators/teachers (DigCompEdu).
The user will have at his disposal information about the concepts of Digital Skills, in specific publications related to the topic, and will also have access to a self-assessment form with declarations of proficiency, issuing at the end an instantaneous report, which is sent by email.
The process will be carried out in two stages: in the first stage, the DigCompEdu framework will be used as a background, aimed at educators/teachers, and in the second stage, DigComp 2.1 and QDRCD for citizens in general.
The collaboration of this project in the promotion of digital skills in Portugal, in the first stage, consists of diagnosing the level of proficiency of educators / teachers, thus identifying the existing gaps, this way contributing to Axis 2 – Education and Axis 3 – Qualification.
With data collection, it will be possible for the user to receive an individualized diagnosis with the assessment of the proficiency level and identifying existing gaps with the respective proficiency level.
The results found in the data analysis will be shared with INCoDe.2030, including complete segmentation by gender, age group, educational qualifications, occupation, nationality, teaching level, performance in the public or private system and career time, subsidizing this it forms the identification of necessary measures, mainly with regard to training actions aimed at teachers and educators as well as in initial training institutions.
The identification of these gaps and the level of proficiency in digital competence is extremely important for Portugal, as such knowledge contributes to more assertive training actions in this domain, an extremely relevant fact. With the current goal of expanding ES at a distance, according to decree-law no. 133/2019, Portugal aims to train at least 50,000 adults in this modality until 2030.
