Action – Digital Transformation – from  classroom to screen

Description – Digital literacy is a topic with increasing importance in the world. If in current times digital literacy and the handling of digital tools is essential, today, in the context of confinement that forces, among other limitations, the use of platforms for distance learning, it is now important to change teachers and other teaching agents’ mentalities and knowledge to adapt their pedagogical intervention in a virtual context.

This cycle of actions was created for the teaching and non-teaching staff of Eça de Queirós School Group, which, with 185 teachers, from pre-primary school to high school and 50 non-teaching staff, presents itself as the launch of this community’s digital transformation.

From distance communication platforms, Teams and Zoom, to micro-informatics, this action addresses technical IT and pedagogical topics adapted to this reality of a distance interaction with students.

The action has the following goals:

– To raise awareness of a digital pedagogical reality;

– To enable the correct use of distance learning platforms;

– To train for the skillful use of computer applications suitable for distance learning;

– To know and handle the procedures for monitoring and evaluating students in distance learning.

The methodology applied will be in a digital environment, using Moodle, Teams and School Notepad tools, in a self-paced, asynchronous and synchronous regime.
