Action – Passaporte Competências Digitais – PILD
Description – Lisbon City Council’s Digital Inclusion and Literacy Program (PILD) seeks to demystify the daily use of technology, so that citizens can, in a simple and practical way, overcome fears and find advantages in its use.
Through “Digital Competencies” practical workshops, aimed at all audiences, in which digital challenges are carried out that seek to explore the democratic, critical and creative potential of the internet and technology, participants earn “digital medals” – a micro-accreditation tool (Gibson et al, 2015) based on the Open Badges standard, which evidences and certifies mastery of the digital skills included in “Passaporte Competências Digitais”.
“Passaporte Competências Digitais”, created by the Lisbon City Council, includes 10 skills formulated from the 6 learning domains identified in the IEUL LIDIA Project (Costa, Cruz et al, 2015) and aligned with the QDCRD and DIGCOMP 2.1.
Since September 2017, more than 100 training actions have been carried out in several parishes in Lisbon and more than 1800 “digital medals” have been issued.
The goals proposed and the results achieved attest to the mission that this initiative proposes: to promote a more active, informed and responsible digital citizenship and to contribute to an inclusive city that creates opportunities.
