Action – Sitestar
Description – Sitestar.PT is a contest that gives young students the opportunity to build websites with the “.pt” domain to publicize their projects. Until December 17th, student groups can register for the initiative, organized by DECOJovem in partnership with .PT, with the aim of promoting the development of digital skills, encouraging young people to create websites with digital content in their areas of interest, thus promoting a more active and inclusive citizenship.
This competition is aimed at students between 13 and 15 years old and/or attending the 8th and 9th school grade in basic education (level 1), and between 15 and 18 years old and/or attending regular secondary school, professional education and learning paths (level 2). As a team, projects must fall into one of the categories: for level 1 the themes are: “Healthy food for all”, “Manage my money well”, “Sustainable consumption”, “Internet safety”, “The copyright to respect”, and “Consumers’ rights in purchases”; Tier 2 sites must fit into the topics “More digital school”, “Make a Difference!” and “Youth with Talent”.
Teams have until the end of March 2020 to build and present the developed websites. The most creative and with the highest quality in each category are awarded with a computer (1st place), cam action (2nd place) and speakers (3rd place).
