Description – The program for universal access to digital skills (T-CODE) promoted by TAGUSVALLEY in partnership with the Raspberry PI Foundation, follows internationally tested practices within the scope of CODECLUB in the use of programming as a vehicle for the development of more participatory digital citizens, capable of shaping technology according to their needs. This program is aimed directly at the students and teachers of the classes involved, and indirectly at the rest of the school community, as active agents in its digital transformation.

The program is currently in operation and involves students from the third and fourth grades of, together with their teachers, in a process of developing their digital skills in three areas, namely animation languages and games, internet languages and physical programming, through projects in SCRATCH, HTML and PYTHON.

The main goals with regard to students are: to promote skills in different programming languages among  primary school students; to promote the use of skills acquired at school and at home as a tool for carrying out work or in recreational activities; to promote the learning of technology and its use in a social context, in an environment of mutual help and transmission of knowledge; to promote gender equality and opportunities; to develop behavioral skills such as teamwork, organization, creativity, problem solving, decision making, among others.

The main goals with regard to teachers are:

To contextualize the use of digital technology in the classroom as a pedagogical tool; to introduce and familiarize to programming environments; to stimulate volunteering among the school community with a view to a wider participation; to clarify questions related to the type of applications and the way in which teaching processes based on the program are dynamized.
