Action – NASCI – Núcleo de AtivAção, SimulAção, CapacitAção e Inclusão
Description – Epralima was inspired by the experience acquired through several projects within the scope of the Erasmus+ program and created the project NASCI_Núcleo de Ativação, SimulAção, CapacitAção e Inclusão, with a length of three years (2021 to 2024), aimed at meeting the three major challenges identified by Portugal INCoDe.2030: citizenship, employment and knowledge.
This is a project that aims to increase digital literacy, as well as the development and recognition of digital skills, targeting the youth population: trainees from Epralima’s Professional Courses.
Considering the main focus of the project, first it is intended to identify the trainees’ digital competences proficiency through the Digital Competence Dynamic Reference Framework (QDRCD) for Portugal (based on EC DigComp 2.1), and then to outline a training plan that aims at the integration of the Microsoft curriculum in the training process at Epralima, as a member of the Microsoft Imagine Academy. This offer will provide the ability for students to become a Microsoft Certified Professional. The completion of the professional course thus provides a triple certification: School Certification – 12th Year; Professional – Level IV; Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA).
In addition to the above, it is intended to stimulate the daily use of digital skills in various contexts and increase employability in the areas of the courses in operation at Epralima, through a process that will trace a path that allows the evaluation of the trainees’ profile, guide them and equip them with the right tools to get a job.
Therefore, from September 2021, all trainees in the 1st year of the Professional Courses will be partially supported in the purchase of a laptop. This practice will be annual and will contribute to the success of the trainees in a market driven by technology.
At the end of the project, Epralima will promote an event in which the trainees who got a job will present a brief history of the trajectory of their experience, and the results achieved. The trainees who achieved the objectives will be awarded and public visibility will be given on the Epralima website.
Considering the project’s potential and its contributions to the achievement of the priorities of the Action Plan for Digital Education (2021-2027), in the future it is intended to involve all Epralima trainees, including adults enrolled in the Qualifica Center (forwarded to RVCC, EFA courses and Modular Training).
