PROJECT PAPTICE

Action – Project PAPTICE

Description – The PAPTICE Contest is an initiative promoted by the National Association of IT Teachers (ANPRI), with the support of several partners, which aims to recognize the work developed in professional education, valuing excellence, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, evidenced by students, in their PAP projects, in the areas of Informatics, Multimedia and Robotics.

The Professional Aptitude Test (PAP) is the culmination of the training process of the student who attends a Professional Course, level 4. It is the key moment, in which, they present the results of their PAP project, demonstrating the knowledge , attitudes and skills they have acquired during the three years of training.

Participation in the PAPTICE Contest implies that the student design and develop projects, within the scope of the Professional Aptitude Tests (PAP), guided by an IT teacher, during the school year.

1.       This initiative’s goals are:

1.1. To value work developed by students, guided by teachers, in the areas of professional education in competition;

1.2. To motivate students to create innovative projects, in which they demonstrate the knowledge, skills and values they acquired during the training course;

1.3. To encourage the development of skills in project planning, development and presentation;

1.4. To stimulate the spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship;

1.5. To promote respect for security rules, intellectual and legal property rights;

1.6. To disseminate and share the projects developed in schools with the educational community and civil society.

1.7. To bring professional education closer to organizations.

2.       The following may apply:

2.1. Students of Computer Science, Multimedia, Electronics and Automation courses who attend educational establishments in Mainland Portugal, Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores and Portuguese Schools Abroad.

3. The categories into which projects must fall are as follows:

3.1. Category A: Software

3.2. Category B: Artifacts (Hardware, Networks, Robotics, Electronics and other artifacts)

3.3. Category C: Multimedia (games and websites without databases are included in this category)

The PAPTICE project is carried out every school year and is also a collection of Professional Aptitude Test projects.
