Action – Requalification Program SWitCH
Description – The SWitCH Program, organized by ISEP, together with the Porto Tech Hub business association, was developed with two objectives: to requalify graduates from various basic training courses, with an interest in integrating the area of Information Technologies (IT), and to respond to the great demand for qualified resources by companies.
It intends to be an aid in the fight against unemployment and precarious employment, through the conversion of professionals to the IT area, where there are excellent career prospects.
SWitCH has a nine-month teaching component (Postgraduate in Software Development – 60 ECTS), with a 12-month paid internship at the end of it, in one of the 14 technological companies in Porto associated with the Porto Tech Hub. No prior programming knowledge is required.
The course has a unique format at the national level, combining Project-Based Learning with agile team development methodologies (scrum), also involving professionals from Porto Tech Hub companies in teaching activities.
