NOVA IMS CHALLENGE: APPLICA-TE

NOVA IMS has been promoting the NOVA IMS CHALLENGE – Applica-te since 2016, a competition of ideas for students from Basic to Secondary Education (7th to 12th), which aims to promote the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of young people and sustainable development through of technologies.

DIGITAL SKILLS OF PORTUGUESE TEACHERS

The potential of digital technologies has brought new and exciting challenges for educational institutions and their teachers. One of the main challenges is related to the need to design new learning scenarios using the tools available on the social web. The focus is both on a new student model and on the new needs of the labor markets, which today seek, in their employees, skills that go beyond the foundational ones and that promote higher-order behaviors, assuming that it is increasingly necessary to adopt new strategies and new methodologies that promote pedagogical practices of emancipation, namely with a view to developing skills for the 21st century.

The digitalization of teaching proves to be a huge challenge for teachers, but at the same time it creates a unique opportunity for the teaching staff to improve their digital skills and contribute to the improvement of the digital literacy of our students. The Action Plan for the Digital Transition, approved in Resolution nº 30/2020 of the Council of Ministers, advocates the construction of a digital society as an opportunity to reinvent the functioning and organization of the Government, orienting it more towards the citizen, to reinforce the economic competitiveness and to develop a climate favorable to innovation and knowledge.

CREATIVE LEARNING WITH STEM PLAY

STEM PLAY is an innovative programming learning platform, based on an approach to the UN SDGs, understanding the basic concepts of computational thinking and developing creativity.

TECHNOVATION GIRLS PORTUGAL

Technovation Girls is the world’s largest technology education program that aims to empower girls aged 8 to 18 to become confident in STEM areas, leaders in identifying and raising awareness of relevant current issues and creators of technological solutions.

PROJECT “BUÉ SEGURO”

“Bué Seguro” is an initiative promoted by the National Association of IT Teachers (ANPRI) in the area of ​​digital security. It focuses on the areas of collaboration, communication, protection and privacy in digital environments, the media, digital data carriers and security in equipment, networks and artifacts.

NASCI – NÚCLEO DE ATIVAÇÃO, SIMULAÇÃO, CAPACITAÇÃO E INCLUSÃO

 Epralima was inspired by the experience acquired through several projects within the scope of the Erasmus+ program and created the project NASCI_Núcleo de Ativação, SimulAção, CapacitAção e Inclusão, with a length of three years (2021 to 2024), aimed at meeting the three major challenges identified by Portugal INCoDe.2030: citizenship, employment and knowledge.
