Applications are now open for Arquivo.pt Award 2021, which once again distinguishes innovative research work on the information preserved by Arquivo.pt, with a total of €15,000 in prizes.
Arquivo.pt, a service managed by the National Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN) of Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), within the scope of INCoDe.2030, is back with the 4th edition of Arquivo.pt Award, which aims to promote practical applications or complete research studies based on information accessible through the archive, which demonstrate the usefulness of this public service and the importance of preserving the information published on the web.
Arquivo.pt is part of the research axis of the INCoDe.2030 program that seeks to guarantee the conditions for the production of new knowledge and active participation in research and development networks and programs. This competition has the High Sponsorship of the President of the Portuguese Republic and has as its official communication partner Público, which will additionally award an Honorable Mention to one of the winning works.
To compete, interested parties must submit a text and a short video describing the work carried out. The works can focus on topics from any area such as Education, History, Sociology, Communication, Health, IT, as long as the main source of information is Arquivo.pt.
Three works will be distinguished, being awarded as follows:
– 1st place: €10,000
– 2nd Place: €3,000
– 3rd Place: €2,000
All applications must be submitted by May 4, 2021.
