The 2nd Meeting of Alliance for Equality in ICT, in the scope of the Engineers for a Day Program, will take place on December 14th, at 3pm, at the Barra Barra Building (headquarters of .PT).
This meeting aims, once again, to strengthen the partnership network of the Engineers for a Day Programme, through the sharing of good practices and reflection on the participation of girls and women in ICT. This meeting will also be an opportunity to learn about other initiatives to promote the digital inclusion of women and their participation in the areas of engineering and technology implemented during the last year.
The Engineers for a Day Programme, coordinated by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality and the INCoDe.2030 Programme, in partnership with the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion (APPDI), the Instituto Superior Técnico and the Order of Engineers, currently has 93 partner entities, 60 basic and secondary schools, and 19 higher education
institutions. Since its creation in 2017, it has reached 12,455 young people from primary and secondary schools, through practical laboratory activities, role model sessions and mentoring.
