Another seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030” was awarded in the area of education to the project “Competências Digitais dos Professores Portugueses”. It is an action that allows teachers to acquire digital skills for an effective use of technologies in the classroom. Within the scope of the project “Avaliação das competências digitais dos docentes portugueses” based at CEIS20- University of Coimbra, through E@D, 3 training workshops were hosted, with the aim of overcoming the weaknesses and training needs in terms of digital assessment , training students in the use of digital, teaching and learning strategies in digital environments.
Applications for the 2nd edition of the Advanced Computing Projects Competition start on July 19th. The objective is to encourage the use of computing resources from HPC and Scientific Cloud, to obtain new knowledge that allows scientific and technological advancement in all domains of knowledge.
The number of higher education graduates grew for the fourth consecutive year and reached a new annual maximum, with 57% in STEAM areas (Science, Technologies, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and there was a 20% growth in diplomas in information and communication.
This month the campaign “Férias: um lugar tecno saudável!”, which aims to educate young people on the healthy use of technology during school holidays, starts. This campaign is the responsibility of Professor Daniel Sampaio, Professor Ivone Patrão and the Directorate-General for Education, within the scope of Centro de Sensibilização SeguraNet, with the support of Geração Cordão and Instituto de Apoio à Criança.

Promoted by NOVA IMS, this initiative aims to promote the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of young people and sustainable development using new technologies, through a competition of ideas aimed at students from 7th to 12th grade.
On July, 14 at 6.00 pm, iTalks Almada will take place, via Zoom, under the theme “Nómadas: Digitais: Jangada do Séc.XXI”. This event, held by Ai9.PT, is part of the Digital Skills Project for Tod@s, co-financed by the European Social Fund – Envol20Almada – Lisbon 2020, and supported by the Almada City Council..
National Contest, “PAPTICE”, an Action with the INCoDe.2030 seal, takes place this year in two phases, taking into account the pandemic conditions. The first will take place online, on July 19, where 10 teams will be selected per category, which will then be present at the final event, which will take place on July 26, at Pombal School Group.
The 2020-2021 edition of the Media@ção contest, promoted by the School Libraries Network and the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, achieved a significant increase in the number of works presented in relation to previous years.
In this 4th edition, the FCT, through its FCCN Unit, once again distinguished innovative research works on the information preserved by Arquivo.pt public service, with a total of €15,000 in prizes.
