On the 25th of February, at 6:00 pm, another TALKS@[dcc] lecture will be held, on the topic “Artificial Intelligence Ethics: definition, main problems and possible solutions”. The lecture will be led by Luca M. Possati (Researcher and Philosopher at the University of Porto), who will elaborate questions and define possible solutions on ethics in Artificial Intelligence, analyzing its main approaches and concrete applications.

From the February 23 to 25, the IV National Forum for Diversity and Inclusion will take place, under the theme “Views on Diversity and Inclusion”, which, on the 24th, counts with the participation of  .PT/ INCoDe.2030, in the session “From Transition to Digital Inclusion: Challenges and Opportunities”.

On March 2, at 5 pm, the 3rd edition of the CLOSE-UP by Champion For Change will take place, as part of the celebrations of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated on March 8.

The Global Teacher Prize Portugal is back to distinguish teachers who stand out in the identification and creative and effective resolution of situations in the school context.

“Escola de Programação: Este é o Código do Futuro” is the new project with the INCoDe.2030 seal. This distinction aims to recognize, distinguish and give notoriety to projects that contribute to the training of digital skills in our country.

Is Artificial Intelligence at a point of no return for companies? Sonae MC, Jerónimo Martins and LTP explained the importance of applying this technology in the sector they represent, in the first session of FórumIA. 

UBBU-Learn to Program received the highest Social Impact Title (TIS) ever, worth 1,050,000 euros, and this is not the first time it has been awarded: in 2015 it was awarded the first TIS in Portugal. The objective of this project is to increase the level of digital literacy of students in the 1st and 2nd cycle of basic education over the next three years, allowing free access to programming classes to the schools that integrate it. Fundação Altice, Banco Montepio, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa and Siemens are the project’s financiers, which will be evaluated by FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, which is an action of INCoDe.2030.

The 1st Call for applications to the REACH Incubator is now open, aimed at companies that intend to integrate the incubation program, which runs from April 2021 to February 2022.
