INCoDe.2030 has recently distinguished the project “VISUM 2021- 9th Edition of the Vision Understanding & Machine Intelligence Summer School”, with the seal “uma ação INCoDe.2030”.

On May 13, at 10:00 am, a webinar will be held under the topic “Cenários de inovação: Diversidade, Inclusão e Acessibilidade em EaD”, promoted by the Pro-President of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, Maria Potes Barbas, in collaboration with colleagues and students of that institution. The webinar will address topics such as “Scenarios for building a UC in distance education”, “(Re)innovative construction of distance learning content” and “Designing a course in distance education”.

On May 27, at 3:00 pm, the 2nd session of the Webinar Cycle “Arte para sempre Web” will take place, with the topic “Recommendations for creating websites that can be preserved for the future”.

Luisa Ribeiro Lopes, Chairman of the Board of Directors of .PT, the entity responsible for managing the national top-level domain and which until then held the position of  Coordinator of the Inclusion Axis of the Digital Skills Portugal Initiative of INcoDe.2030, became general coordinator of this national program, which is the largest public policy dedicated to strengthening digital skills. A recognition that comes naturally to those who are also a founding partner of APDSI, a member of the Strategic Council of ACEPI and of the Executive Committee of MUDA – Movimento pela utilização digital ativa.

Next Friday, May 7, between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, the 7th GILM Forum will take place, on the theme Media Literacy and Inequalities. This event is part of the set of initiatives of the 9th Edition of  “7 Dias com os Media”, held by Grupo Informal sobre Literacia Mediática – (GILM), which takes place from 3 to 9 May 2021.

The XXII Government decided to dedicate the week May 3 to 6 to Digital Transition, generating debates on the empowerment and inclusion of citizens, the digital transformation of the business fabric and the digitization of the State. This is the second edition, after the Digital Transition Action Plan was presented in 2020, within the scope of the Digital Week that took place in March, days before the state of emergency was first decreed in Portugal.

The 3rd phase of applications for the DMS Accelerator is ending, aimed at data-centric European Startups which, when selected, got support in GDPR, intellectual property, combination of investments and funds, legal training and much more.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the International Girls in ICT Day, created by the International Telecommunications Union, the Girls in ICT Week was launched, within the scope of the Engineers for a Day Project, between the 22nd and 29th of April. Several online activities will be promoted to share knowledge, experiences and clarify doubts, involving the partner entities of the project and higher education institutions.
